Overview
The following document will explain how the Reserve Hold functionality within Savance Enterprise.
Reserve Hold
Reserve Hold (RH) allows you to reserve material on an order but doesn’t create a shipper for the order until one is manually created. RH will increase your Reserved, and Reserved Hold Allocated and decrease from your Available within your warehouse inventory log. Also, RH quantities will appear within Critical Purchasing and create demand so buyers are aware and can adjust their POs accordingly.
Since Reserve Hold does not create a shipper, this order doesn’t go through the warehouse or accounting process until a shipper is manually created.

When Purchasing opens Critical Purchasing they will be able to see If any of these items need ordering because even though you may physically have the inventory when you place an order on RH, your Available quantity will decrease.
You will create a PO as per the normal possibly including reserved hold and additional stock material for fulfillment.
Receiving Reserve Hold Material
Once the material is ready to be received, the receiving process is no different.
You will mark your items received and put away, then post the material to “Received”
The Hold for Backorders will appear letting you know that there are some orders that can be fulfilled by receiving this material.
Select Ok, Next, you will Post the Receiver to “Put Away”
A Put Away Report will print based on your preferences and let you know where all the material should go.
Once the receive is completed, you will finally go to Inventory > Shipping > Process Back Orders
